Production companies of actor Alec Baldwin and others are being sued for damages over a now-defunct film.

Kyle Schonekas filed a complaint in US court over 1998 film Rust, alleging crew members were denied basic medical care.

In the film, Mr Baldwin plays a violent supervillain and Kate Moss plays a character called Kate Fox.

In the complaint, Mr Schonekas alleged serious injuries were sustained on-set.

Production of the film, also starring Mr Baldwin’s wife Hilaria, was shut down in 2006 by producers.

Kyle Schonekas, who worked as a camera assistant on the film, said it was primarily a labour dispute and not a case of intentional injuries.

The 39-year-old said he injured his shoulder on-set.

He said later he developed a sheared tendon in his elbow, missing “about six to nine months”.

He asked for money for lost earnings and mental anguish.

In a statement, Mr Baldwin’s production company said it does not comment on legal matters.

Representatives for Ms Moss and Ms Parker could not be reached for comment.
